Announcing the Class Four Fellows
“I am most excited about growing alongside leaders who believe, as I do, that every child and family deserves dignity, access, and opportunity. This fellowship will sharpen my voice, strengthen my leadership, and expand my capacity to transform systems for communities that have been overlooked for far too long.”
– Shequite Wilson-Johnson, Mississippi
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) is excited to announce the newest class of fellows of the WKKF Community Leadership Network. Designed as an innovative fellowship for leaders in local communities and the national child- and family-serving ecosystem to connect, grow and lead, this program equips leaders to be effective agents of collective, community-led change. Spanning 18 months, 80 dynamic and diverse leaders from Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, New Orleans, Tribal Nations and other communities across the country will collaborate to:
- Learn from inspirational leaders, professional coaches and other peers, developing their leadership skills to support children and families in their communities.
- Understand themselves, their leadership identities and how to navigate differences in order to work collaboratively towards solutions.
- Build a network of leaders across the country and diverse sectors to learn from each other and foster lasting relationships.
- Put new knowledge and skills into action through class and cohort activities and in their day-to-day work.
